I have begun. I have entered into that world. I am a (rather am becoming) a blogger. I hope to capture for you insights from my time with the Master. All of us have been created for God and His good pleasure. We are to be a people of influence. We are to make a difference in the lives of others. Each of us was made to make a difference on this earth for God and in the lives of others. God has gifted each of us with talents, abilities, and aspects of our personalities that are absolutely unique. He has given us these things for a specific purpose. For some, these gifts are obvious. Others may have to try a little harder to find their gifts. Spending time with God will open ours eyes to what they are. But the biggest gift of all is God's gift of love. And because of God's love for us, we have so much to show to others; a great light of hope, grace, mercy, peace...a piece of eternity that is available to all.
Who can you encourage today? Who can you bless today? Who can you begin to disciple today? The light that we have is to be shared with unbelievers and believers alike. If we are not sharing this light with others, if we are hiding it and keeping it just for ourselves, we are in disobedience and are not fulfilling what Jesus has commanded us to do....go an make disciples.
We, as believers in Jesus Christ, have been given a great gift but even greater responsibility. How we shine our light will show that we truly are followers and not merely fans.
I love how God is growing me in this way. I want to be a blessing to others. I want to share with others what the Lord is teaching me so they too may grow more and more into His glorious image.
